A Song for Sarai and Elizabeth

Ninety-years old Sarai was the wife of one hundred-years old Abram when, according to the story in Genesis 21.1-7, she gave birth to Isaac, whose name means ‘God has laughed’.

The Gospel of Luke 1.57 tells of the birth of John the Baptist to Elizabeth and Zechariah, another couple ‘advanced in years’.
