** I set this text for a dramatic presentation at Lee Abbey about the Holy Eucharist.  Inspired by Jan (c1395-1441) and Hubert (d.1426) Van Eyck’s painting  ‘The Adoration of the Holy Lamb’ (in the cathedral at Gent/Ganf), this lofty setting is definitely not for congregations to attempt!  The musical style is intended to evoke both the ‘things of heaven’ come to earth in our midst  and the immensity of what is accomplished in Christ’s Atoning Sacrifice.
